I capture the soul of my village, its people, and how they interact. I present "3 persons chatting" as a moment which captures the day-to-day conversations that tie our community together. Through the use of knitted and formed recycled material, I set out to present the essence of these exchanges, the unspoken agreements and shared experiences which bring us together. The colors and textures of the fabric will present the individual personalities and the dynamic yet earthy aesthetic of village life.

Meet the Artist - Shuvam Sen
Shuvam Sen is an MFA Final Year student in Sculpture at Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati University. Growing up in Joypur, West Bengal, Sen was drawn to terracotta temples and utensils, which shaped his practice. Financial challenges led him to embrace clay and terracotta firing, deepening his engagement with traditional techniques. He also works with recycled cloth, inspired by family traditions, to encourage sustainable practices and highlight the beauty of reuse.
