This painting is minimal in concept yet deeply metaphorical, blending surrealism with contemporary themes of perception, technology, and inner light. The bird figure in yellow ochre appears as a seeker — perhaps even the soul — bathed in the light of consciousness but fixed on a distant signal. The bird’s straight, unblinking gaze raises questions: Is it learning? Is it being deceived? Or is it waiting for the moment when the signal becomes clear? In this light, the painting emerges as a modern, surrealist echo of the Kasturi allegory.
