| Artist Description | I am working with ceramic hand-built pottery merged with figurative sculpture. When I make hand-built pottery, I feel my body is moving around the sculpture. Every impression of the moment is there when I add every coil. The single sculpture has been made with my every moment. First, I thought the sound of the ceramic body was speaking every moment how it will be possible, then I thought I had to make an uneven textured body. When I keep some sticks on the sculpture one and it will be moved by me then it will create a ceramic sound when it is fired. Every pinch on the sculpture's body will say something. The work is visible with sound especially it will feel those people who are not able to visible they will feel to touch the sculpture's body. In that sculpture, I have tried to create rhythm in the body so that when it is moving it tells the making story. Basically I have tried to understand the character of the clay and how I have to behave with this. |
