In the heart of the Himalayas, Uttarakhand not only thrives on its beautiful landscapes but also boasts a tradition of nourishing and wholesome cuisine. One such culinary gem is Ragi Roti (finger millet Chapati), a local delicacy teeming with nutrition and flavor. My painting concept aims to pay tribute to this healthy and sustainable food choice, which has made its way into the hearts and tables of the people of Uttarakhand. In this year India celebrating The International Year of Millets 2023, it aims to raise awareness about the importance of millets and their health benefits. It also seeks to promote the production, consumption, and value-addition of millet products.
