Tushar Chhawri’s practice explores a personal relationship with the visual world shaped by memory, observation, and lived experience. Working in abstraction, he responds intuitively to his surroundings and the evolving image on the canvas. Through layering, concealment, and revelation, his paintings create moments of tension and release. Moving between painting and printmaking, he treats abstraction as both an aesthetic and moral encounter, seeking honesty, clarity, and energy through color, gesture, and emotion.
