I believe that in sculpture, the visual form of the artwork becomes the foundation of artistic expression and concept builds on the strength and beauty of the structure. I perceive the message and concept as the soul and voice of my sculptures, and take the visual of the artwork as the body of the same – the medium that carries the voice through. This belief outlines the aesthetics of my sculpture practice.
My sculptures aim to create a bridge of beauty between the viewer and the conceptual dialogue I wish to stir. I build on the aesthetical grounds of ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ to create sculptures that are a window into the rich culture and philosophy of India. I hope that my artworks will stimulate these great ideas of the Indian mind in the times we live in.
