Meet the Artist

Keerti Pooja

I was part of young artist camp organised by prestigious Raza Foundation at Mandla, Madhya Pradesh, India in 2016. I am one of the 100 young painters, whose works was selected for Abir’s annual show First Take for 2018. The jury of the event included film maker and designer Muzaffar Ali, artists of eminence Amit Ambalal, Ravinder Reddy and Seema Kohli. I was part of Khoji programme of Swaraj University, Udaipur 2016 -2018, in which I did projects with Manzil (Youth Collective in New Delhi) and Noida Deaf Society. I have worked as facilitator in a Creative Adda workshop for children in a Rajasthan village school under aegis of Manish Jain of Shikshantar Abhiyan, Udaipur. I am a certified trainer for art based therapy. The course was facilitated by Vikramjit Sinha and Geetanjali Sarangan of Snehdhara, Bangalore. This was an applied hands-on course where I worked with children at risk (street children) in Saket, New Delhi. I am currently a Fellow at Snehdhara Foundation, Bangalore, working as an Art Practitioner. Art to me is therapeutic and helps me see my own inner space and the world in a better light. Though I draw in abstract lines, nature and animals attract me. I also find in my art a configure to my journey both in art as well as in life. In my gap year after school, I volunteered with Goonj in New Delhi, CGNet Swara in Chhattisgarh, Last Forest in Kotagiri in Tamil Nadu. I love to work with children on art and storytelling projects. I love biking.
