Tahader Katha taken from a Bengali movie which translates to “Their Story” in English is a composition of 10 different plates embodying the landscapes of my native place in Bengal where I spent my childhood. The trees that grew along with me narrate their own stories in their own way.

Meet the Artist
My practice principally deals with the representation of migration and memories in visual culture. I return to my native land with the help of my memories. Besides living in Hyderabad, there is nostalgia in mind which brings me back to my homeland. Elements such as the regional spirit of West Bengal, the nostalgia of identity, homelessness, dislocation, lack of acceptance, the search for cultural roots, expatriate memories and alienation are beautifully portrayed in my works.
I find relief in narrating the visions and feelings of my home and try to fill these with every object, every single event, and occasion of my displaced memories— apart from the migrant sensibility—as my attempted to identify himself.
