Meet the Artist
Since my childhood, I would often observe my mother and grandmother engrossed in the art of sewing. While they stitched, my heart was drawn to a different passion - drawing, painting, and gardening. These pursuits brought immense joy, providing a creative outlet that filled my days with wonder.
In today's fast-paced world, gardening seems like a luxury few can afford, and traditional stitching has become somewhat neglected in many households.
I was never that passionate about stitching too, but a poignant event changed my perspective. After the passing of my dear Dida, each stitch and sewing lesson became a poignant connection to her cherished memory.
As an artist and a busy mother, my days are filled with numerous responsibilities. Yet, I've chosen to preserve the tender sentiments I hold, delicately stitching them into the canvas of my painted garden that serves as a heartfelt homage to my heritage and treasured memories of my beloved Dida.
Every single stitch and sewing lesson stirred such a profound wave of nostalgia within me that the stitching techniques such as back stitch, cross stitch, stem stitch, straight stitch, full stitch, running stitch, and others which were once just a few familiar names for me is now mastered and they resonate with the significance of blooming flowers in my painted garden.
