Meet the Artist

I have always been fascinated by maps and cartography. A map tells where you’ve been, where you are and where you’re going—in sense its three tenses in one.” – Peter Greenaway My art practice finds inspiration in cartography and focuses on travel, navigating routes, mapping, experiences, and both literal and figurative crossroads. The landmarks and destinations mapped in my artworks represent emotional experiences or physical spaces of significance to me. I enjoys experimenting with materials and techniques including ceramics, collages, sketching, painting, digital printing and staining, to create an alternate dimension where my thoughts and memories can reside permanently. To that effect, the lines in my artworks represent the layers and the fluidity of remembrance. In my practice also attempts to use abstraction to create a visceral sense of movement through space and playing with patterns, shadows, and form to tell different stories in every frame.
