Beautiful women waiting

Divya Chouhan is a Rajasthan based artist who works mainly on acrylic medium. She holds a post graduate diploma from Kanoria Centre of Art, Ahmedabad and has just started creating art fulltime after working as a Franchise owner of Euro schools.

Principle theme of Divya’s work is based on Rajasthan’s Rajput culture especially the focus that lays on showcasing and capturing the beauty of the Rajput Woman in Ghunghat (Veil). Herself being born into a Rajput family , she has always admired on to how beautiful and graceful a woman appears with traditional jewellery and costume and this is how the depiction of her work is the perfect reflection of what she has ingrained through her childhood and has tried to express by illustrating different angles of a veiled woman and her facial and body’s subtle gestures
