This series of work uses birds and insects as a metaphor, and at times, as a paradox to recreate the present-day society. The prints are reflection of my psyche and its interaction with society. The use of mundane objects is suggestive of the everyday life and the birds are used as metaphor for humans. The birds unlike their nature can be seen still and static as if they have forgotten to fly just like humans who have forgotten to live their lives and have lost themselves in the world of materialism. The humans have become so greedy that siblings are fighting amongst themselves for possessions. I wish for them to realize what they are losing in the progression. I want them to come under one roof and reunite and learn to fly again.

Meet the Artist
Nisha hails from Rajasthan but completed her education in Bangalore. After completing her bachelors in printmaking from College of Art Bangalore she has recently joined The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda to pursue her masters in Printmaking.
Throughout her printmaking journey she tried to explore the different mediums along with her creative research, during her academic career she got plenty of exposures and opportunities in the field of Printmaking.
She won the notable International Women Artist Achievers Award 2021 by Indian Art Fair , Late Gopal Krishna memorial trust fund award for graphics/shri pranlal bhogilal fund award 2021 by the Bombay art society and Amrita Shergil Memorial Grand Award 2022 by Varnika Art Society.
