I was painting this early morning at a port. sunrise and sunset are the two times of day which are the most beautiful as the sky is filled with radical gradients and changes rapidly which makes it challenging to capture in the painting. the reflection of the sun on the tides of the sea is distorted in such a manner it looks like the gold is scattered on a moving surface. All the movements of tides and reflections of sunlight engage me to paint it.

Ashutosh is an artist from Mumbai Maharashtra. He has done his graduation in portrait painting from Sir J J school of art mumbai.
The inspiration behind his paintings is the environment surrounding him and the people he observes.He believes the spontaneous approach while working helps him capture the mood and essence of the spot he is painting.
He is one of the co- founder of the Kanaga art foundation from Maharashtra which organizes residencies and workshops for artist.
Currently working as an freelance artist and faculty at Grahin Art Institute, Mumbai.
